I’m getting myself really worked up about this, she has been smoking for as long as I can remember.
I even ordered one of those free stop smoking kits and when It arrived I pretended that it must of came by mistake, hoping that she would take the hint that she should stop, and when she went to the bin with it, I shouted STOP and I told her that maybe she should stop, but she would have non of it… I saw my her and my step dad talking about how much they cost and she said that she would pay whatever to smoke, and I butted in and said so you’re not stopping then? She said no and walked away, then I got really upset and she said it was my fault!!
I love her to end of the earth, and would hate for her to die.

I am 19 and I am 12 weeks pregnant. I have never smoked and I have asthma that can get bad from time to time. My boyfriend who lives with my parents has stoped smoking recently for me and the baby. My mum has tried to give up loads of times , even years ago and fails to do so by smoking and wearing a patch at the same time. Or gives up for a few hours and says she cant take it because ‘shes stressed’ hmm,.
I keep telling her to stop and she thinks im nagging or says ‘yeah i know, i will’, ive even got her a stop smoking kit from the NHS. She says she will go outside but she never does. My midwife said I cant be around smoke cause smoke can cause cotdeath. I cant wait to move out. What can I do? It seems my mum doesnt understand.
I really would of thought my boyfriend who stopped smoking for me would make my mum think but no.
