I’m going to a stop smoking group and Quit Day is next Wed, am going to use the 24hr patches but any tips would be helpful:-)

Resolved Question: Does anyone know if the doctor will do this for me (UK)?
I was on Nicorette Patches early last year and had to go to a stop smoke group before I could get them they worked for a while but I started smoking again 3 months later, does anyone know if I go back to the doctor to ask for patches again will he give them to me straight away because I’ve had them before or will he send me to a smoke stop course again which I don’t like the groups.

Resolved Question: Help with Champix dilemma ?
I have been on Champix for nearly 4 weeks now and stopped smoking for 13 days . It hasn’t been easy as they have made me very tired, and also unable to sleep at night. I phoned the stop smoking group and they have said I can cut down from the 1mg tablet to the .5mg tablet at night but I have to contact my doctor to change the prescription. It is a few days before I can get an appointment and was wondering if it would be ok to half a 1mg until such time I can see my doctor. Has anyone else did this or does anyone know if this will be ok to do. Thanks
