My neighbors are chain smokers and the smell of cigarette smoke always comes in our back and side windows. We don’t know what to do there house is about 40 feet away from ours there both ranch houses. My next door neighbor smokes and when I’m in my office I can totally smell it. It’s bad enough that it’s affecting my asthma. The smoke smell is definitely coming from the gaps in the wall around the fuse box. It’s set into the wall and has a metal frame. I put packing tape around the frame and it helped instantly, but I need a more permanent solution. It’s an apartment (and I hate it) so I don’t really care what the solution does to the paint or anything like that. Would caulk work? Any ideas on what I could use to more permanently seal up the gaps?
