She studied my face and then something dawned for her, and her jaw dropped “You know?” I nodded, “Yup” “And what have you done about it?” “I pay for his use of gum” I walked over to the bar and put down the list I had been checking off. “So you\’re doing nothing?” she followed me “But you\’re his older brother!” I shrugged “Since when did that mean telling him to stop smoking?” “Since you became his guardian!” she raised her voice. “Look, Kaitlyn.. Nick\’s POV “What are you guys doing tonight?” Jackson asked as he, Melanie, Ryan and I walked home from school. “Nothing much” Ryan shrugged. Melanie smiled “I\’m going to the spa” I snorted, “You\’re going to the spa?” “Yeah, so what?” she snapped at me “You know, just because you stupid-ass boys don\’t-” Ryan cut her off. “Nick, for god\’s sake give her a cigarette or we\’ll have a nicotine monster on our hands” I raised my eyebrows “All this because of nicotine? Jeez, girl” I pulled my pack of smokes out of my pocket, and tapped it twice in the palm of my hand before opening it, taking one, and then offering it to Melanie. I lit my lighter and lit mine, before lighting Melanie\’s “Thanks” “Wow, check out that girl” Ryan said, and Jackson whistled as we looked around to see who Ryan meant. I stopped abruptly when I saw whom it was they were whistling at. She turned around and looked over at us. “Guys, shut up” I told them, and they laughed. Kaitlyn raised her eyebrows in that familiar way she did when she was pissed and then went back into the gallery. “Guys” I said through gritted teeth “Shut. The fuck. Up.” “Damn man, guess you two are a good couple after all” Jackson joked, referring to Melanie and I. “Whatever, I have to go” I told them, and started walking away from them. “Hey, what about a kiss goodbye?” Jackson called after me, and I could hear them making kissing noises. “Shut up” I could hear Melanie tell them as I reached the door of the gallery. As I entered the …

How to Stop Smoking with Cigarette Filters.
YouTube.com — Quitting smoking is one of the most challenging things for a person to do. Fortunately, there are many smoking cessation products now on the market to help people fight the battle against cigarette addiction, and win. Cigarette filters are filters which attach to the built-in filter of your cigarettes, and reduce the amount of nicotine and tar that go into your lungs when you are smoking. While cigarette filters do not make smoking any safer or healthier, they can be an effective tool in weaning you off of your nicotine craving and help you to quit Attach the cigarette filter from the pack you have purchased to the tip of the filter on your cigarette. Smoke the cigarette as you would normally, allowing the filter to remove some of the addictive nicotine and tar as you smoke. Replace the filter after every 5 to 7 cigarettes, according to the directions that are included with the pack of cigarette filters that you purchased. Slowly cut down your cigarette intake as you smoke with the filters. You will be getting less nicotine than you are used to because of the filters blocking properties.. So slowly your body will become used to the smaller amount of nicotine and your cravings will begin to diminish. Substitute tea, candy or nuts for cigarettes when you have a craving for more nicotine. It is difficult but if you delay smoking another cigarette, your craving will pass.

Open Question: In need of much needed imput?
I’M 33 and have been in a relationship with the same person for about 10 yrs. It’s been rocky at times and about 6 yrs ago I was charged with domestic violence because I violently reacted to my girlfriend when I found out she was cheating on me.We split up for about a year. About 9 months into the break up we started talking again. After about a year she wanted to get back together and of course I did to. I have not been physically violent since the charge but have been verbally abusive a number of times. She is not really a verbally abusive person but has been physically abusive several times. I think she reacts this way because of stress obviously. We both know that it is wrong. I have had a hard time keeping a construction job do to depression and the type of people and enviroment that I have worked in and with. I quit my job last January out of anger. I had a hard time working with the type of people that I was working with. I couldn’t take it anymore and had to walk away because I became so overwelmed with anger that it made me sick. I didn’t want to do something stupid. Since I’ve entered the work industry at the age of 14 the longest that I’ve kept a job is about 1.5 yrs( I’ve had many jobs). I have not been able to find a job because of the recession. My girlfriend is a hardworker and is in the healthcare industry. We have a 5 yr. old son together and I’m an active father who loves my child dearly. I cook, I clean,I take my son to do activities and I’m working on getting my g.e.d. I plan on going to college after I get my g.e.d . I make it to wear my girlfriend rarely ever has to clean or cook. I know that this is not enough and I feel like a loser. With the recession I feel as if my hands are tied behind my back. Sometimes I feel as if my girlfriend is miserable in our relationship because we live paycheck to paycheck. She sleeps long hours and she’s verbally abusive to our son at times. She has father issue’s and I feel as if she has codependent issues as I do as well. For a while I’ve been thinking that maybe I should end the relationship so that she can meet someone else who can financially take care of her and make her happy. I now understand the meaning of letting go of something or someone you love. If a break up does happen I’m afraid that she might be verbally abusive to our son and I won’t be there to protect him. If we would split up I would not persue a custody battle. For 1- I don’t have a job, 2- her parents are wealthy, 3-I’ve been charged with domestic violence in the past, 4- I wouldn’t want to fight like that. We have talked about splitting up but she says she’d like to try to work things out. Of course I’d like to do this but I have trust issues with her and my own insecurities as well. I sometimes think that maybe she has a hidden agenda because I’ve never known her to leave a relationship without lining up a new one first. When we got back together she hadn’t broken off her old relationship with the guy that she cheated on me with. I did not find this out until I later spoke with him. In the last year while visiting a music venue she went outside of the music venue to smoke. About 30 min went by and I went looking for her to see what was taking so long and she was chatting with the drummer of the opening band. I thought that was a bit rude but I just blew it off. The same type of incident happened about 6 months before this time. So I guess I question her sincerity about our relationship. What should I do? I have no one to really talk to about this as my family lives about 12 hours away and are busy with their own lives. I do love her but I want to make the best decision for all 3 of us. I’m so tired of being miserable and angry at times. I find myself getting angry with her for being verbally abusive to our child. Sometimes I get angry with her about the domestic violence charge and I do know that that is wrong and abusive to get angry with her. I get angry about the fact that she lied in the police report and said that I stalked her , jumped in her car , and choked her. I never stalked her or jumped in her car. It happened while we were driving and while we were together . I find myself getting angry because she reported the incident 2 weeks after it happened. We talked after the incident happened and I told her I was sorry and that what I did was wrong. I told her I couldn’t do this(fighting) anymore and agreed never to contact her again. 2 weeks after our final words she reported the incident. I did not find that out until I was arrested 6 months later. She said her father made her do it. How do I let it go and stop getting angry about it at times? I’m glad that I was arrested but the judge initially gave me 2 years in prison which I thought at the time was a little harsh but then he later lowered the charges and I only served a week in jail and took a 6 mo anger
Open Question: Will I pass a drug test? (readdd)?
Yeahhh I was going through some tough times and succumbed to peer pressure, and smoked weed for the first time in April. I smoked least once or twice a week after that. For 4-20 I smoked 3 times in one day.
My last time was 3 or 4 weeks ago. I decided to grow up, and quit completely. I also quit drinking.
I’m 5′ tall, weigh 105 lbs, and have a good metabolism. I don’t really exercise.
I’ve been drinking cranberry juice lately (1 glass a day). I bought a home drug test from a local drug shop and passed it, but I don’t really know how dependable those really are.
I’ve been going on interviews for this big corporate place, and my last interview is in a couple days, where I’m certain I’ll get the job, as well as 24 hours to take a urine drug test.
Do you think I’ll pass? Did I quit in time?
What can I do (no detox or diluting or switching samples) to ensure my passing?
No lectures, please. I’ve learned my lesson, and I know the best way to pass is to not smoke at all.
Open Question: perscription pills and how to know if ur addicted?
it all started from just taking them randomly at parties becaus i dont drink and i felt like the odd one out by not being messed up…also ive always been very self concious of my weight and not to long ago i realized i was getting fatter…i started eating really healthy and working out like crazy and i would take a pill of some kind to make me not hungry and to not eat excess calories…i only took a pill after my workout after work and that way i wouldnt eat again for the rest of the night to maybe help me lose weight…
im not addicted to them yet but ive been getting them like every other day sometimes every day when i get out of work..( but i can go days without the drug and dont feel like i NEED it) i dont think about them all the time but i use them when i want to relax.. i do not believe that a detox or any type of rehab will be nessesary because its not even close to that point yet..i am just noticing this addictive behavior in myself before it gets out of control…i have a family history of drug abuse and even suicides from drug abuse in my family…im not really sure how to stop “cold turkey” my bf also does them with me and he used to be addicted to heroin before i met him.. i do not want him to fall down the same path and ruin our relationship that is so strong…i would like to know how to help us both (he also doesnt think he has a problem) i would like to maybe wein myself off of it by smoking weed (been a pot head for years) i figured maybe that would help considering it gives you the same type of high feeling.( but would cause anxiety for weight gain hunger) ..if anyone knows how i can talk to my bf about both of us quitting and not turning back…i hope you can help me..thanks for the help in advance
p.s i started with vicodin and percocets but eventually it led to morphine (10 mgs) and oc’s (only the 20 mgs tho) but im not just doing the harder ones i varey between the stronger ones and the less strong ones depends on who i get them from first and its usually only one pill i dont try to do like 3 or 4 or something like that….
also if you can live without the drug for at least four days or longer does that mean your not addicted…i have the restraignt to say no but if i WANT to do it its diffrent…does that mean im still addicted??
