Open Question: should i tell my parents that i used to smoke weed but not anymore?
ok a long time ago i met this guy back in November 2008 and he introduce me into smoking weed. i started smoking for two months and then after that i decided to quit because i was failing classes and ruining relationships. i no longer smoke anymore. but i had a lab band procedure and has been gaining weight. i told my lap band doctor that i felt depressed and needed help. so my mom made an appointment and now im scared to tell them because i have to tell the doctor what symptoms i have and why im depressed. i don’t want my family knowing about this. im scared because my family is going to get mad at me and not be happy. i don’t ever want them to find out. im depressed because i regret smoking weed in the first place. it ruined my life. what should i do?
i have strict parents who love me. my mom is taking me to the doctor and she is going to be in the room to find out. i dont want her in there. she will get extremely mad and upset. im 19 and living with my parents. they are going to want to talk to my other friends about it and i dont want them to. i dont want them to cause drama. they are going to want to talk to this guy but he moved away and he changed his number.
Open Question: What is wrong with me? am i depressed? i need help putting my life back on track.?
I don’t know what’s been wrong with me lately but I’m just never happy. I don’t know when it started exactly but for a while now I’ve had these feelings inside. Let me start from the beginning. In high school I was living the life. I was outgoing, funny, athletic, and quite intelligent. I also had a great core of friends that I would consider my brothers and I never had trouble with the girls. If you would have told you in 2 years I would be feeling this way I wouldn’t have believed you.
My senior year in high school is when things started to change. I met my girlfriend the first semester that year and I fell in love. FAST! Basically everyday since like a month after we started going out we’ve been together. I had always planned to go away to college but at the end of my senior year I decided that I wanted to stay home, mainly because my girlfriend was staying home for school too but I didn’t tell anyone that. I became very distant with my friends and stopped going to parties because I was always with my girlfriend. I was in love like I couldn’t believe. So I went to community college my first semester of college. Even though I got into my first and second choice of schools.
I decided that I wanted to transfer into my first choice school for the spring semester so I reapplied and got in. But when the time came for me to I went and came back the next day. It was so embarrassing having to explain to everyone the story and I think it scarred me. But I didn’t care because I got to be with my girlfriend still and I was happy. At this point we were basically living together and spending every waking moment together. From spending so much time just with my girlfriend and not doing anything else I has started to gain weight. I basically lost full contact with any friends. Instead of going to community college I went to a university that was only 10 minutes away from my house and I commuted with my girlfriend who also went there.
I did horrible that semester and only ended up receiving credit for 3 of my courses. At this point it was summer and I got a summer job where I worked with my girlfriend. Before school started up again I decided that I needed to go to my number one choice for college again, and that this time I would actually stick with it. So when its time to go I move in and stay the first couple days. Then I started to get really bad anxiety attacks or well what seemed like it. And I actually came home for the second time. I had never felt so ashamed in my life. Now I’m here the first semester of my second year of college back at the local school I did horrible in. I’ve been broken up with my girlfriend for about two weeks. I broke up with her because I feel like I need time to myself to get my life back on track. but I still hang out with her almost everyday and that is because we have the same mutual friends. I am socially awkward now and I don’t know how to act around people never mind other girls. I still have my 2 best friends from high school but it is not the same. Over the past year I have also become a very heavy pot smoker a long with my girlfriend and I am completely out of shape. My once great relationship with my mom is deteriorating and I’m not even happy at the school I’m at. Everyday I feel like I’m never gonna be happy and that there is something wrong with me. I still love my girlfriend even though I want to be alone to better myself. I feel horrible when she cries over me because she has done nothing wrong for me to break her heart like this. I feel that no matter what I do I will never be happy. It is such a horrible feeling and I’m only 19. I had set such high goals for myself and now I feel like I’ve been taking the easy road and that I will never make anything of myself. Everything that was good about my life is in the past and the future doesn’t even look promising. I want to apply to another school and transfer out next semester but I’m scared the same thing is going to happen again. I want to be single and have fun and work out and hang with my friends like I used to. I just don’t know what to do. I quit smoking weed last night and I not going to do it again. I don’t know what I should do about school because the local college I’m at now doesn’t even have a major I’m interested in. I feel so dumb and that I wasted any potential I had to be successful. Please share any advice or input that you have it will be greatly appreciated.
