Resolved Question: Has anyone had any experience with laser treatment to help with quitting smoking?
Any success even initially?
Ive tried everything with the exception of the Zyban (welbutrin) which im not to keen on the idea of, considering i have an addictive personality to begin with.
The chantix worked till i got off it, and thought “oh i can have just one” but cant take the dreams or mood swings that come with it again to get back on it =/
Also anyone know if Aetna has any programs that pays for those sort of treatments or smoking cessation?

i was on Wellbutrin about 5 years ago. while taking this medication (i wanted to quit smoking) i fell into a deep depression, and came very close to dying. i attempted suicide by downing a few bottles of valium, and slit my wrists. i was unconscious for a few days before waking in the hospital.
a few months later, a friend who was also taking wellbutrin for quitting smoking was successful at suicide.
i am just wondering if anyone else had the same experiences, and if you want to share?

I had a cigarette at 12:30 PM today. I threw them all out. I found half a pack tonight at 9:30 and smoked half of one. And did I mention that between 12:30-9:30 my husband and I argued like cats and dogs??? It was all my fault because I’m trying to quit and I acted horrible. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m taking Zyban but I’m having fever every night. The doctor wanted me to quit taking it because the fever may be caused by it, but it’s helping somewhat. Any advice for a tired old cigarette junkie?
P.S. I’ve been in AA and done the steps on Alcoholism. But I don’t want to do them with the smoking. What’s wrong with me?? Help!
